Preferred Language Learning Strategies Employed by Rural Secondary School Students in Learning English

چکیده
English language is a global language, yet it regarded as one of the most difficult languages. Mastering has been challenging among second (ESL) students despite fact they frequently employ various learning strategies (LLS). This study aims to investigate preferred choice 30 Form 5 rural secondary school through survey and semi-structured interview. The quantitative was adapted from Strategy Inventory Language Learning (SILL) by (Oxford, 1990). data were analysed using descriptive statistics. findings presented elaborated interpretively in this study. obtained showed that memory strategy due proficiency level English. students' styles also closely linked their eventually positive impact towards performance. hopes give an insight on how these influence achievement skills.
